The kitties' names are Trouble (grey & white), Ali (black & white), and Pixel (uh, technicolor).

Trouble and Ali are male/female siblings, born in 1988. They were outdoor cats until Mary and I retrained them to indoor living. They sleep in a yin/yang symbol which I have yet to catch on film -- as soon as they hear the camera they wake up and spoil the symbolism. Ali's sweet but not terribly bright. Trouble is VERY smart, but skittish.

Pixel is a relative newcomer. She joined the family in 1995 as a kitten. She's a purebred manx, with only a stump for a tail. She's top cat, even over Oscar. She eats his food and even sleeps in his kennel! This causes Oscar to run around in circles, but even he acknowledges her awesome feline powers.
